American vocal coach Renee Grant-Williams is returning to Australia in January 2010 to conduct performance Master Classes for singers and songwriters. The tour will begin in Atherton (30/1), followed by workshops in Cairns (31/1), Brisbane (6 & 7/2), Melbourne (13 & 14/2), Newcastle (16 & 17/2) and Sydney (20 & 21/2).
Grant-Williams' all-day Master Classes and MiniClinics have sold out every year for the past twelve years, touching the lives and careers of thousands of aspiring singers. Grant-Williams says, “I don't feel my job is to teach people how to sing, but instead, how to remove the obstacles that may be preventing them from singing the way they really want to sing."
Grant-Williams has a roster that includes mega stars like Miley Cyrus, Keith Urban, Christina Aguilera, Kenny Chesney, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Chicago, the Grateful Dead and many more.
The workshop will offer practical training and an in-depth understanding of career-altering techniques that have helped bring success to so many of today's superstar entertainers. Grant-Williams says, “What you get in a group situation like this that you don't get in a private session is the opportunity to learn by watching the techniques at work in other singers. This is a very affirming format and a win-win situation for everyone who attends. It's a bargain too, considering I charge close to that for a single 55 minute private lesson."
Grant-Williams' insights and hot tips on how to use one's voice have been quoted in USA TODAY, TV Guide, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, New York Post, Amusement Business, Mix Magazine, Country Weekly. Broadcast appearances include, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, USA, MTV, CMT, GAC, PBS, Food Network, BRAVO, BBC and NPR.
For those who are serious about a career in music, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For more information and to register through the website go to www.cmcproductions.com.au.
"My job is not to teach people how to sing, but how to remove obstacles that may be preventing them from singing the way they want to. I like to get right to the source of a problem and find its solution," says Renee about her work. “And I'm motivated by progress. I'd rather work with an excited amateur than a bored professional any day".
