IN THE RAIN
Originally a solo guitar piece

Memorable Moments
"...Gareth's become the lead vocalist of some new cover band, even playing rhythm guitar. There was this version of 'I Shot The Sheriff' that stood out to me. So they have this one gig, it's back at our old stomping grounds at LaTrobe Uni... in the posh Glenn College... crowd wants an encore, band doesn't know anymore songs. Gareth comes out, just him and that guitar. He does 'In The Rain'... people slow dance, they get into it. I stood in the shadows and watched, it was great seeing them get moved, I was so thankful to Gareth he gave me the chance to see my song touch people like that"

The Classics
I can see the stars rise,
But they shine so far away now,
And it seems that all my dreams,
Belong in yesterday somehow I must bridge that gap.

But everything I knew seems so hard to come to grips with,
And if the stories are all true,
Then somethings going wrong.
It all seems too long ago to change,
And I sit alone singing love songs in the rain

City lights and empty nights,
Aren't so hard for me to live with,
While the beach still holds my awe,
With her proud display of nature's beauty,
Some things never change.

But everything I knew does it still hold any standing,
Cos I know I've changed my views,
But you still say somethings wrong,
You seem to keep away, could be better that way,
And I sit alone singing songs in the rain.

And I sit alone singing love songs in the rain.
