Memorable Moments | |
| "...ever looked at the colour of the sky in your dreams? When it's all happening, alive, exciting, I'd see blue skies in my mind. Then she was gone, just like that. Whatever I thought about, if I looked up at that sky in my head, it was grey. I was a total black shade of grey myself. I walked so much, saw so much, no sleep, no shoes, tears and anger... I rock up even on the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne's place one morning... after another night on the streets trying to escape my madness... Teddy Bear biscuits and a cup of tea. Gave this emotional outburst which I reckoned was a great expose about how f**ked up the world was... they even listened to me, didn't even call security or have me kicked out." |

So all things must pass, Stare above the skylines, See it all seems so far, Far away from these grey thoughts.
Every night seems the same,
And I've never really seen a cross before,
Another night on the town,
Someone must try,
And they always said its lies,
Well the skies can turn to blue,
So the grey streets at dawn,
And I've never really seen a cross before, "Skies of My Mind", words/music Kieran 'Kip' Davies (Strummer), ©1983-2005. All Rights Reserved |
