She loved music, from Cat Stephens to Pink Floyd, The Doors and Dire Straits... and she had this exceptional mind, boy could she think... and it made me think... and then of course I stuffed up the friendship, she changed some of her own strong views, and 'We Must Fight On' was my way of expressing the loss of the friendship, the new differences... she influenced a lot of my songs back then, mostly after she moved on..." |

It said upon the news that the war's begun, Conscriptions back, you better send your country's sons, There' gonna turn the churches into hospitals, Where they can treat the ill, And see that they fight on.
The government's declared miltary rule,
And the children in the schools are rolling bandages,
The pacifists are noticeably silent now,
And the priests are giving solace to the dying ones,
The undertakers praying it will never end,
And the students are all dabbling with the politics,
