Current Racecar ![]() Our current racecar is a special build known as "Piranha". An openwheeler in the Formula 1 or CART style, she's a mean beast indeed. Capable of huge acceleration and breath taking cornering but twitch the wheel the wrong way and you are in big trouble. We often have this amazing record breaking car at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Australia's premier international racetrack, on display where visitors from around the world are able to try and sit in her (its a tight fit) and have a photo taken. However she was built to race, and built for absolute power and speed. During 2003 we are refitting her and bringing her back up to full peformance specs. Her history is one of breaking speed records at various tracks around Australia, so expect more of the same in our racing to come!
The 1988 HSV Group A SS Commodore was the first race vehicle ever produced by the elite "Holden Special Vehicles (HSV)" Australian race factory, part owned by racing great Tom Walkinshaw. The car was the very first Aussie racecar to be designed in a wind tunnel to ensure amazing aerodynamics and downforce at high speed. The powerful 5 litres V8 engine was modelled after the small block Chevy, and was completely engineered in Australia, and in full racetrim can produce 480BHP to the rear wheels. Affectionately named by our team "Christine" (courtesy the Stephen King horror story and movie), we raced her for almost 3 years which is a long stint for a sedan of this era! Best result in a major event was in 2002 when we came second in our class in the prestigious "Trading Post Grand Prix Rally", an official event of the Australian Formula One Grand Prix. We retired this car from active duty in 2003.

Our Former Racecars ![]() Our 1976 Ozgurus SLR5000 was completely genuine. Formerly raced by Ken Scott with the Holden Dealer Team (HDT) Club, the 308 cubic inch carburetted V8 had power on tap. This car was extensively race-kitted with the A9X option code, and featured the renowned M21 4 speed racing gearbox. The Holden SLR Torana produces a max. power of 240@4800 BHP and max. torque of 315@3000 FT/LB and was the most succesful racecar of all time in the prestigious Bathurst endurance events. Retired from our team to make way for "Christine" (HSV Group A Walkinshaw!). Official Class: Group C Touring Cars
![]() The other renowned version of the racing Holden Torana is the A9X hatchback. Just so happened we bought one of them as well and often raced the two cars at the same time. However our car was heavily modified from the original race version - we wanted more speed than its 1977 design would allow. Ours had Victor Jnr heads, a 4 barelled Hollie carbie replaced the original Rochester Quadrajet, and the engine was a small block 307 Chev stroked out to 327 cubic inches. Awesome car.
