06/18/2006: "Hey thanks Kane, Amy and The Mercury!"
music: Dead Ringer Band (Aussie Country)

It's beaut when folks from this great state of Tassie get behind each other, and Ruby and I were wrapped that Hobart (Southern Tasmania) Newspaper, The Mercury, ran a piece about Wild, blue and Free yesterday... (read more!)
I'm glad Kane kept all my "um, ah's and er's" from my quick interview out of the article! Amy, an experienced journalist and photographer braved a chilly evening here at Parattah just to take the photos. Hopefully we'll be able to order some through
The Mercury's website. Thankyou!
Thanks also for the supportive emails that have come in over the weekend, it means heaps to us and all the crew here. And a special g'day to Shirley in Oatlands and Alex, one of our dedicated local Southern Midlands councillors, for the encouraging words. Cheers all!
PS: The article and photos are all (c) to News Ltd and appeared in the June 17th edition of The Mercury.

Yep, that's the FB/EK bodyshell mate. I remember it well from when we had a band in the late 60's.
We fitted all our gear and 7 of us into an FB station wagon and a Peugeot 403 and toured Queensland. Vase and Goldentone guitar amps. Home brew bass amp and PA. 4 way Mixer by Hi Tone. OH MY!! Falls apart laughing.
