06/26/2006: "Chilly weather, warm company"

Ruby and I headed out on Saturday to explore some more and see if we could put together a bit of an intro for a special on Oatlands and beyond. Up the highway we went and back, mounting a camera in the inside gun rack of Kermit our truck. May as well use it for our camera, all our shooting's done with cameras!

We travelled back into Oatlands, and decided to set up by the welcome sign at the entrance to this historic must-visit township... (read more)

A biting breeze that whipped up and low temperatures didn't stop us enjoying the day. Hopefully you can pick up the genuine warmth and friendliness of Ruby's very natural personality in the resulting intro clip I edited up and stuck online yesterday. Check it out; the wild, blue and free approach to exploring this ace country (see our video page). Anyhow, as usual, it was a fun time, with a bit of luck that will come over (finger's crossed). Cheers all! Kip.

G'day Nancy, yes there is a website for Oatlands that I've come across, try: http://www.tco.asn.au/oac/home.cgi?oacID=49

And thanks Beefeater, it's a bit of a relief to hear good things back. The series is like art to us, so we can worry pretty easily as to whether everythings enjoyable for folks or not. We aren't yet selling prints, but we both love the idea of it, just to share our art more. Thanks for your encouragement, cheers, Kip.

Is there a web site for Oatlands? We will be visiting Tasmania in September and will be travelling in a Winnebago
