Bethany Marie releases alt.country original!

music: The Price You Pay

b1 (60k image)

Bethany Marie (Davies) has stepped out from behind the drums of FireSkye, and even put down her guitar in this new track just released in January 2010. Along with normal lead vocalist and FireSkye guitarist Ruby Rose Taylor, the new song features harmonies, beats and guitar that people have come to expect from the girls - but this time the song is totally written by 16 year old Bethany Marie.

Bethany Marie has also setup her own YouTube channel, which can be found at www.youtube.com/bethanymariedavies

All the team here at CMB are proud of her initiative, and we look forward to the long awaited new FireSkye album! smile

Autumn Catch Up - What A Year So Far!

music: Our Own Wild, Blue and Free CD

blogmusic07 (10k image)G'day all! We are well overdue for a blog entry, and I'll hope you'll forgive us for not writing sooner. Talk about things taking off - thanks to everyone out there be it via net, TV, radio etc. - we really are very grateful that you've allowed us to share who we are, and the lovely feedback on our music inspires us each day to want to give more.

The new series has premiered in some places, and on Easter weekend an extra-length episode is scheduled to air right across Europe. We hope you get to see it, it captures our journey into bringing our music into our adventures. What a huge surprise for us it's been to see major country TV programs playing our clip, and even better to know that folks share with us the need to bring a little bit more love back into this wonderful wild, blue and free world we all share. We hope you enjoy the filmclips we've also added to the website, plus a range of the songs playing on radio etc. etc... download it all for free, it's our thanks to you for helping us get out there and be us - and in our own Tasmanian country way! Cheers all - Kip and Ruby

And Let the Music Flow!

music: Soul Star - Ruby Rose Taylor

Ruby Rose Taylor, Red Bluff Ochre Mine, Phillip Island (9k image)With Ruby and Kip working hard, I was so pleased to get to do this new blog entry and introduce one of the new features of the 2007 "Wild, Blue and Free" season - their original music!!

Music is such a part of their lives and adventures: it just made perfect sense to begin using their original tunes as the soundtrack behind the series. Kip's music has featured from the start of course, yet it's the true nature of WB&F which has seen their great personal dynamics bring out the beautiful music that's always been busting to get out of Ruby!!

So make sure you click here to hear Ruby's moving song "Soul Star" written during their last trip. You'll see our dynamic duo jamming away behind the scenes to the song that's featuring as part of the soundtrack to the first of the new season episodes! Pssst: you can also click on Ruby's picture to launch the video clip, it's so worth it. Love to everyone from us all at WB&F! Stay tuned as always and thanks so much for your ongoing support!!

Stay tuned for the 2007 Series - the adventures underway!

G'day folks, hope you've all had an enjoyable and inspiring holiday season! Our own "holidays" are well and truly over, and as I type we are far from our normal home! We set sail on the 17th January in search of new Wild, Blue and Free adventures - chock full of ideas we hope will also give you new thoughts on what to see, how and where. It's pretty amazing how much fun can be had without having to shell out loads of money, or necessarily go to those "have to visit" tourist destinations. Thats the great thing in life, the beauty and simplicity in the natural world around us... all its takes is an approach to life that looks, thinks and sees things "a little differently". So stay tuned for the new adventures, with more music inspired by the places and people we visit. Cheers all! (Ruby and Kip on the road!)

A thanks, some Music and more to come!

cateHi!! First up its time for another WOW! What a huge response to Ruby and Kip's last adventure - the early audience figure almost doubled our previous ratings report. 37 million households around the world! Thank you so much for such lovely support!

And while the Mignight Special was airing - and as I ready myself for dragging Kip on stage at a few large New Year celebrations (wish me luck big grin) - K&R have been back at it writing new songs, jamming and producing some fabulous new insider film clips. Our AMG team can't wait to see it all come together so we can get out the first official WB&F music CD!! Music born from the land, from life and that special magic Ruby and Kip just seem to find in whatever they do together. That's passion for life for you. Watch this website for some more uncut webcasts of their country Tassie based music sessions. Luv ya all!! cool eh?

Wow it's Christmas early for me too!!

music: Strummer Live (1986)
mood: Over the moon and rarin to go!!

blogcate1 (6k image)Well hellloooo all!! Imagine my pleasure and surprise when my 'normal' boss told me I'd get to be Wild, Blue and Free for a month or so!! Ruby decided to get an early start to her Chrissie and New Year season (what did you do to her Kip?!! hehehehe big grin) so AMG reckoned it might be fun to see what happens when a country girl from a large outback NSW station was chucked in with a Tassie based bush artist.

Part of the job spec is to try to grab Kip and see if we can get him on stage during some of the AMG events over the New Year break - all of which we'll be webcasting here on Wild, Blue and Free including the normal behind-the-scenes fun and mayhem that makes this whole project so much fun!! Woooo hooooo, watch out world, I can't wait!! Luv yas all, Catie. wink

You'll be amazed what YOU can do!

blogart1 (5k image)G'day! I wish I knew you personally so I could affirm that you ARE a creative talented person. And I mean YOU reading this blog... I reckon the truth is we all have the desire to create, but often we're afraid of how "good" our piece of art, craft, music others will say it is...

I'd be proud if I'd done the painting in this blog entry, but nope, I didn't... I wont embarass the actual artist by naming 'em... however they hadn't painted before. Art can be risk, personal risk, but it's worth it! Why not try something creative yourself today and email us in a photo? Would be ace to see! Cheers all! Kip

Midnight Adventure

blograin1 (11k image)
Sometimes it really is mind-blowing to look at life through someone else's eyes - or camera in this case. Me, I was keeping a close eyes on the dirt track as we drove through the bush to get as close to the ravine as we could... I never knew there could be such beauty in raindrops on a windshield! The large web view is in our general on-location photo album, but I tell you what, the actual printed photo is just amazing. So's Ruby for that matter in how she sees stuff. Cheers all, have a good one!
